The Zodiac

The zodiac is a zone of the heavens which contains the paths of the sun, moon, and principal planets.  It is divided into twelve parts of thirty degrees each, which are named after certain constellations.  Into each of the twelve equal parts are placed the astrological signs.  It is generally understood that this division into twelve parts is made because there are twelve complete lunar cycles or months in one year.

The zodiac is composed of the twelve parts of thirty degrees each that the sun passes through during the year and each has its own name and time of duration.  Astrology by birth sign or sun sign means that your particular horoscope characteristics are based mainly upon the location of the sun’s astrological position in the heavens at the time of your birth.  The zodiac is narrow because most of the planets have orbits that are only slightly inclined to that of the Earth.  The exception is Pluto, whose orbital inclination of 17 degrees takes it out of the zodiac during part of its orbit .

Planets are spinning and transiting through space at this moment, and as they move through the sky certain energies are pouring down upon each one of us and this causes or at least influences certain actions to take place.  The types of things these energies influence include things such as ill health, a change of residence, a birth, or job promotion, even arguments and love.  The energies are subtle yet distinct, yet everyone has the ability to overcome their influence by the strong use of will power and right action.

When a horoscope is produced even the planets hidden from direct view beneath the earth are also shown in the horoscope as their energies are taken into account as well.  Planetary rotation of the celestial bodies can have a huge influence upon our lives.  Predictions based on these influences can help us to gain a better understanding of the past and a clearer picture of the future.
